During researches on the relations of auxiliary fauna between orchards and their environment, population's dynamics have been studied in an elm and ash windbreak bordering an apple orchard. Use of glued coloured traps or a model with nylon threads showed the superiority of the last for heteropterans. This and its good results for the other groups make it a good tool for synecological investigations. Washing have been applied to ash leaves and Eriophyes fraxinivorus galls allowing the recognition of these as a focus for the multiplication of various predators, notably the anthocorids Orius sp. |
