| Résumé : |
Factor analysis, a method for growth development and land planning studies
Factor analysis was applied to growth measures of maize performed both in a protected field and an open one.
Correspondance analysis (analyse factorielle des correspondances) shows that within fields variability due to wooden hedges is mainly created during the early stages of plant and ear growth. Likewise, a great deal of comportmental differences between the two fields results from these stages.
Discriminant analysis points out the importance of precocity and final yield in discriminating the two fields.
Thus, factor analysis appears as an useful set of methods for growth development and land planning studies at the same time. |
